![]() I just tried it on a couple of other multi-purpose rooms that had stuff in them and indeed it did work. I know Ive expanded my base upwards after having stuff built inside it. It may just be a new bug from a few other fixes done with the cielings of buildings. Some creatures only have a few eggs anyway (like squidsharks and trivalves), so they may be irreplacable if you don't plan ahead. You should be able to biuld ontop regardless. I'd suggest breeding some back-ups in case that happens to save yourself running all over the world hunting eggs in strange places. Glow whale, titan holefish, etc may take up 3-4 slots, and if you overload it, the game randomly picks things to kill off. I've also never tested rockgrubs in the AC, so I can't answer that question.įinally, for your goal of having 1 of everything in the tank, just be aware of the size differences. I don't believe you can release pengwings or penglings inside of a base, though I've never tried. I've never seen them shoot to the surface for air. I like to use the smaller compartments in creative ways using windows whenever I can and handling stability with foundations instead of. Four smaller compartments can give the same amount of working and storage space as the larger room. They apparently don't need to breathe in the AC tank either. It seems that the multipurpose room gets used the most, but it also offers the least bit of flexibility. So youre trying to fit a 3x3 in a 2x4 area (counting it as if youve already removed those two corridors in the middle). I've never seen them use the walk animation in the tank. Keep in mind that the multipurpose room is 3x3 in size and in that picture, all of the existing ones take up to the edge of those foundations that theyre on. ![]() On the subject of pengwings, they swim in the tank. The harvestable fish are all 1 each, but you will only get 7 pengwings in a 1-story AC tank, for example. I've never built one higher than 3, so I don't know if you can expand it further, though I think you can.ĭo keep in mind that some creatures take up more than 1 slot. You get 10 slots for each level you build, again, that's the same regardless of the room you build it in. I'm hoping that someone has come across a method for getting rid of these stuck rooms. The size of the alien containment tank (AC) is the same whether you build it in a multipurpose room (MPR) or a large room. I've shot a blast fish at it, torpedoed it from the Prawn suit, even tried to ram it with the sub, all with no results. Building at a 45° or diagonal would vastly increase the variety of building options, design elements and esthetics of ones undersea base. I've tried the warp method mentioned in a couple of threads, but I must not have the patience for that, couldn't get it to work. Suggestion 2: The ability to build at 45° angles off the multipurpose rooms (not just the current 90°) along with an added 45° corridor would be fantastic. part of the reason for the update was to get subnautica base to the same level on unity that below zero is on, thus when problems need to be fixed, they can be done for both games. All of the threads that I've looked at seem to not have a solution. Read More Below What’s up guys I have a Subnautica tutorial today In this we are finding the multipurpose room, I TRIED TO MAKE IT AS STRAIGHT TO THE. Foundations are sized 2x2 grid units, MPR occupy a 3x3 grid space, so you can never center one on top of the other. I seem to be stuck with these two rooms, no way to get in and no way to deconstruct either room. When I freecam I can get inside the room, and I can see that there's a ladder that's partially constructed, and preventing me from doing anything. Now I can't get back inside to delete the ladder so I can get rid of the rooms. ![]() I couldn't deconstruct the last two remaining rooms, getting the message about deconstructing everything inside first. I got the insides cleared, went out the last portal, deconstructed that, and that's when the problem started. I was deconstructing stuff inside (everything I thought) so I could move that part of my base. They're one on top of another, just floating in the water by themselves. Filtration room: packed with water filters and storage for the water and salt. Observation rooms: Used for studying and possibly spotting new lifeforms to scan. I got a couple of MPR's that I can't seem to get rid of. Creation room: fabricator, battery charging station, and modifacation station with some storage for other stuff like batteries, upgraders, and extra suits, fins, and oxyegen tanks.
